Ok, Now what the hell are you talking about. What does this have to do with the topic

Some people don't read the descriptions on vendor web pages and flood vendors with questions that have very obvious answers to (ahem, the description!). Then, vendors get pissed off with those questions and proceed to treat everyone like morons, as I experienced yesterday with one vendor.

The item descriptions did not have the answers I was seeking, but they proceeded treating me like a moron anyway... In the end it was resolved though.

Why does this have anything to do with the topic? It doesn't have anything to do with the original title topic, someone tossed in the new suggestion and the topic after that changed. So basically, after the suggestion, most of the rest are off-topic.

Since the suggestion was tossed in, I'm very well on topic. Vendors treat you well if you treat them well w/out bastardizing their experience with you. Not knowing wtf you want, that's when they get pissed off and treat you like a moron.

Bah. Why do I have to explain this?

Back to Slowboy, Mike Huml is a pretty good guy, and a very knowledgeable DSMer. He lent his wisdom to the Capitol Area DSMers on numerous occasions (and probobly still does, I left the list) When I return to the East Coast after I leave this sand-box, I plan on getting a good percentage of my parts from Slowboy. Not because he has better prices, because you can't always beat everyones price, but because he's a local DSMer that went from working on friends cars and selling parts he came across, to providing a service to DSMers nation-wide. You would think that someone who was in a similar situation *cough* JDMAWD *cough* would respect that. I could flame Extreme all day about their Extreme Prices, but they still provide a good service to DSMers nation-wide, their local for me (when I'm home in MD) and have a tremendous amount of knowledge that they willingly share (not like any of us will be challenging their 8 second talon anytime soon...

Please dont bring me into this bullshit vender ass kissing garbage.

Yeah, f*ck the vendors... Let's just go directly to the big companies that don't make anything decent for DSMs anyway... And pay way more than retail while we're at it. Almost ashamed to say I call DC my real home.

I think you have totally missed the point. Some dsm venders are great, most have zero customer service and etiquette skills. Slow Boys is just a bad one. Have you actually bought anything form them? have you sent any parts in for assembly or modification. I can name as many people with horror stories as have sat here is kissed his as.

You can talk about extreme all you want. I know Sean and terry Personally. when I call the shop Rob is straight and has zero bullshit when you order stuff. Im willing to pay the extra 15% mark up to support my local dsm shop that actually knows what they are doing.

His God damn Boy who posts on this board Chad (91gsx) even bitched about how his turbo and intercooler took multiple months for him to receive. THATS HIS FREAKING FRIEND that works part time at his shop:laugh:

I think you are a God Damn Fool, to praise a shop you have had no dealings with.

That's why they acted like I was interrupting their day when I walked in and bought an ACT clutch for my last Talon. "Aww man... I have to get off my ass... put the magazine down... pick up this box from the shelf... put it on the counter... take the CASH out of his hand... and then put it in the register.... man I hate customers..."

I've got an idea... why don't you start your own shop and run them out of business if you're so sh*t hot.

Because I don't really give a shit. I want to buy my shit and be left the #### alone. Pucker up sport, most dsm owner are among the cheapest broke bunch of whiny punks I have ever come in contact with. The price you pay for owning a car that can be bought for under a thousand dollars I guess.Having a dsm use to represent being a hard core performance enthusiast. Now it represent some 2G punk with a body kit or a broke 1G crybaby.

So I guess you belong to the latter then...

Well, I'm glad to see that this thread didn't go to waste... this #### belongs on an afternoon talk show.

Anyways...

Not to bring it back from the dead, but does anyone have any experience in dealing with Victory Performance? If so, what do you think of them?

A visit from the bluebird of happiness everybody...

I recently ordered from SBR and they guys were great on the phone, talked to me for a while when I was decidding on what to get and what their prices are. Good e-mail contact to, got a response within half an hour of the message being sent everytime, I called up and ordered my stuff on friday (labor day weekend) and had it on thursday. Fast shipping and good prices and support. I like SBR.

Almost everything on my car came from SBR and I have NO problems with there service or products.

I recieved my products within the time they told me they would get there. If something was drop shipped from another store I recieved an e-mail stating the status of the order (Greddy FMIC). I still recieved it in 3 days.

Not everyone is going to be satisfied with everyone. Find a shop or 2 and you will be just fine. The one thing I suggest to anyone purchasong stuff from anywhere is calling and talking to them on the phone about things you would like to order in the future.

HI the infamous chad here signing in. i barely ever post because of static like this garbage thread. i tend to keep to myself. but since i have been called out (halfassed i might add) lets get things straight....

A. i never worked for slowboy part time (LOL)

B. yes i am personal friends with the slowboy guys

C. Yes some of my parts took longer to get because they were stuck in customs, not slowboy's fault. and yes to keep it honest they proved it to me. (didn't have to)

D. jdmawd used to be an "internet acquaintance" of mine until he got upset with Slowboy, stopped conversing with me & has now called me out on 3 seperate threads. why,,,,,your guess is as good as mine.

JDM, i never did a single thing to you. you got shady on me & i didn't wrong you in any way. i don't appreciate that you called me out now 3 seperate times. you obviously don't know what you are talking about if you said that i worked there part time, or maybe just your memory isn't up to par. honestly i have no clue why you have beef with me, but leave me out of your flaming of companies let alone a friend of mine. all i ever did was try to smooth things over with you two, but you just wanted war.

this is all i am going to reply & i would appreciate it if you kept my name out of your mouth & i will respectively do the same in return.
