I replaced the fuel pump because the old one was going out. I noticed that the car now takes longer to turnover. Could the fuel pump be bad, or weaker than the old one? There are no leaks from the lines on top of the tank. I made sure to check them before reassembling everything. I also checked under the rear of the car for signs of leaking to make sure I didn't kink and break the hard line. The car starts every time I attempt to, but it just takes longer to start than it did when my old pump was on there. Once started, the car runs fine with a steady idle. The new pump also seems to be pressurizing the system because I can hear it before trying to start the car. Also, today I primed it 3 times before attempting to start and it still took longer than expected to start. The gas cap is screwed on tight. Any ideas?
