Hi guys,

Well, this is my first post out here, so bare with me please. To start, I have a 1995 Eagle Talon esi. It is non-turbo and is 2wd. A couple of months ago, the engine started dropping to almost non-existant RPMs when I would stop at a light or something. At the same time, the car started missing very badly. I replaced the spark plugs and plug wires, but to no use. The car idles between 400 - 600 RPMs and misses very badly at idle. If I turn the AC on, forget it, the car shakes really bad most of the time and then dies. The other day, I replaced the ignition coil thinking that would do the trick. Nope, it gave me a little more power, but did not fix the idle or missing problem. I am pretty new to this stuff, so if you respond, please use words instead of abreveations.

Thanks Alot,
Adam

have you tried changing ## cam sensor (camshaft angle sensor)? it could be that, the iac (idle air control) sensor your tps (throttle position sensor) or your map sensor i belive thats the mass air pressure or somthing like that part store calls it a map sensor its on ## intake. those are the only things i can think of that would be the problem its happend to my rs once

Well this might not be to much use, but have you tried throttle body cleaner?? It might not do anything but atleast it's not tha expensive of a shot! My laser had that problem for a wile but my spark wires did the trick for me.. But it does seem to do a little skip here and there, not too sure. I think I might need a new Batterie! Good luck and your mission though

I had the same problem, you will have to replace your idle control motor sensor. It about $200.00. You'll be able to do it yourself though if you have any mechanical skill and know where it is. Go to local dealership and ask one of the techs thell show you where it is. good luck

I have almost the same problem. I have a 94' Eclipse and it idles fine when I start it at about a 1000 rpms but it drops down to 500 rpms or kills the engine when i turn on the A/C and the A/C only. Could it be the IAC valve .
