slicks,wheels, gearing, help??

Hey guys

I know this thread has been coverd before but I just can't seem to find the information i need searching this board and dsmtalk.

I'm in need of a pair of wheels and slicks for this year, my question is about gearing in sheptrans.com stage 2 lsd tranny. I have been looking for 13-15" wheels, I really what to buy the weld magnum import drag wheels that are gold. the only problem with them are they come only in 15's

My car is lowerd with B&G springs about 1.6" I think the 15's will swell to much and hit the fenders? I'm also conserned about running out of gear in 3rd with 15' wheels compaired to the 13's it seams like everyone is running on their GST's If you guy's have any experiance help a brother out.

Wheels size has very little to do with what you are asking. The more important issue is over all tire size. I could have a 15 with a tire height of 17 inches. Ir I could have a 15 inch wheel with 38's. One will have me running out of gear and the other will need a ton more gear on the same wheel.

I am not sure on what size you will need becasue like you stated swell size will be a big issue. I am work and don't have access to many sites, but I would look at Sheps car and see what size he is using. I believe his car is slightly lowered and that will give you an overall idea of what size to look for.

I understand the overall tire size, I was thinking with a 13" rim with a 24.5x8x13 slick would have more wrinkle wall effect that the same size slick on a 15" rim.

Im in the process of buying rims and slicks also.I wanna know if 13s will fit without any spacing or anything.

13's are not going to clear your brakes...

How big of a spacer is needed for 13" wheels to clear stock single pistion brakes? My car is a late 89-90.

anyone running 225/45/17 slicks? I saw a company that was making them a few months ago in modified, I could only imagine the 60' times here no better than drag radials.

13's are not going to clear your brakes...

I have seen some people on here that use 13s.So how do they get them to fit on.
