Sleeper 16g... Is It Junk??

yeah well amber at FP said it was 345 for a base rebuild but this obviously will need more.
anyone know what kind of turn around i should expect. a week or 2?

If they agreed to pay for the rebuild then yes it will be worth doing as you should have a like new turbo once its rebuilt. I personally would want to work out something about payment first so that you don't get screwed over in the end.

As for using your bank account to make a paypal payment as far as I know your SOL if there's a problem with the item. Thats why I always make the payment with my credit card, if a problem occurs you have some recourse with a credit card.

To the origional question, I would be pretty pissed as well if I paid $640 for a "freshly, professionally rebuilt" turbo and thats what I got, defently would be getting my money back. Or in your case have it "really" rebuilt at no charge.

well paypal said they cant do anything, so that sucks... and FP gave a me a price its 800 plus change. idk what to do, either way i feel like i am getting screwed because nick and his dad are being kinda cheap. they wanted a rebuild because they saw a price that was 345 for a rebuild but they didnt know that was starting price.

well since no one answered ## question on jake and top street i will for ya. i am currently getting alot done to my 92 gsx by jake and he def knows his stuff. it took a while to get things started due to complications with the company building my engine but as soon as that was done this project took off. jake has had it less then a week and its almost done! i have had work done in the past by him as well. he is very good at what he does and his business is beginning to take off since the introduction of his 1g talon at great lakes dragway that has 783 whp and runs 9's at the track. if ## looking for any other info, or want to check out his car or his other projects he has completed go to www.top-street.com

one other thing u should have realized when u bought this turbo. this turbo goes for around 1400 dollars new, so when u see someone selling a sleeper 16g for $600, it prob is going to be a piece. thats just my thoughts on it
