i have a 95 eclipse gst, i bought the car w/ all the mods on it. it has a 16g running 17 psi ( alot but it can handle... i think) one day i got on it a lil not near redline and then it started to make a loud rattle noise which sounded like a valve kinda, there is no noise at idle only when i give it some gas, it also stalled on me 3 times, then it cut completly out. i did sum checks and found no spark on cylinders 1-4. i checked the coils & there good. i checked the power transistor & it came out to be bad, i went out and bought a brand new one, still no spark. so i then took the cover off the timing belt & gears. .. now the question is when i crank it over the gears & belt r suposto move right?.. they do not move and it looks like they r trying to move, just a lil shake to them. the belt is tight. neone know what is rong & if it suposto move when i turn over the engine? Please help... :confused:

Okay, I just want to clear up a few things for myself. The current car you are talking about does it have a 420a motor with turbo or a 4g63T?

If its the 4g63T motor because in your mod list you didn't list internals, and your name says GST. If you were running 17psi on a 420a stock motor, it would be no more.

IF you have the 4g63T and DON'T have the fuel mods for it (ie. Bigger Fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, injectors) You should turn your boost back to 15-16psi.

Thats all I have time for now, but if you have that motor, change your car profile.

ok well i'm not to formiliar w/ the engine models. it is an original gst motor w/ the motor completly rebuilt. it has a 16g turbo upgrade, i dont have any fuel upgrades in now. i have a walbro pump & 550cc injectors i can put in, also i made a mistake on my profile & i am in kingston NY. sry, it is not the starter, the starter turns all other belts & pulleys move but the cam gears w/ timing belt do not move, the timing belt is tight. is there also another timing belt below the big main one that could have broke or came off? another thing is could a grear broke & gammed ? Ne checks suggest to run? Please & help is great !

Change your car profile to 2wd GST, and change your modlist so that it reflects what is on your car, and the parts that you have waiting. I'd post this in the problem diagonis of the 4g63 forums, they are probably going to be able to help you more.
 
If you do have a 4G63T then it sounds like if you were at red line it might have been crank creep and then something broke
