simply a coil springs question

Ok so I bought these lowering springs for my 97 gst spyder, manual. I remove the front right spring and then...chaos... which spring goes in front and which one in rear? I began to research about this and did not find a solid answer. I have two springs that are taller but softer, and the other two are shorter but stiffer. So with my basic knowledge and common sense, I installed one of the shorter stiffer ones in the front right side. Stiffer to take the weight of the engine and transaxle. So I finished up and dropped the car off the jack and had ended up with like a .5 inch drop difference.. these were soppuse to give me a 2 inch drop all around! What am I doing wrong guys?

Shorter stiffer in front for sure. Can you post pics? Would help a lot. Also what springs did you get?

Did you drive the car around? Springs take driving time for them to settle.

I did mine with the stiff in the front and the others in the back and it gave me and pretty close to about 2 inchs, I think the back ones are also a little thinner as well.

I haven't driven the car at all. I have only installed one (front right). I don't have the other spring in hand to take a picture of them. But I'm 100 % sure that the short ones are the stiff/thinker ones and and the long ones are soft/thiner.

I just wanted to make sure I installed them properly l, I wouldn't want to install them and have to redo the whole thing again.

So stiff front, soft back, drive it and it should drop right?

They dont settle that far. Sounds like what you have isnt drop springs. If there is a part number stamp on the spring reference it. Who is the manufacturer

They are cheap coils from ebay.

The ebay add/post said 2 inch drop all around. I got mine in red. If you can't find them; they should have them in different colors still available, they should be the same (spec, and performance wise)
