Hey guys, I am about ready to buy some tein s techs off a buddy of mine and was wondering would a 2 INCH drop with stock shocks be fine? Or do I need to buy a whole new set of shocks to support its drop. Feedback is the greatest. Let me know guys!

You are most definitely going to need new struts. Also a camber kit, front and rear. An alignment as well.

The stock struts will ride like crap and will fail very fast with those springs

^^Agree. However, I'm not sure how "vital" or "necessary" an upgraded camber kit is.

But you will definately need to take the car to a trusted alignment shop, and get upgraded shocks. The OEM shocks won't last very long.

Additionally, when you go to have your alignment done, you should request that someone of similar size sit in the driver's seat when conducting the test. Your car will never be taking turns without you sitting in the driver's seat. Your personal weight distribution on the car will have an effect on handling, however slightly it may be.

Doubtful, but a few shops let you sit in the driver's seat when they are aligning your car. But not usually, for insurance purposes and safety's sake.

Stock shocks work, but not very long. You are instantly changing the length of which they are extended. This is also changing it from where they were designed to work best to a point lower than that.

I see..thanks guys for the feedback. Hmmm, I think I am just going to buy the springs and leave them in my room till I get the right setup for it. And my buddy that is selling them to me , rides on his stock shocks. So, I don't know, I will ask him if I can ride with him and see how it rides on its stock shocks. And lastly, what is the lowest you can go without blowing your shocks? I will keep you guys informed.
