To my knowlege you cant easily modify it to fit because the AWD exhaust runs differently than a FWD. You could modify it but i cant say it would be easy or cheaper than just buying the right part for the application :laser:

true but i bought a turbo package deal that happend to come with an apexi dp for an awd and since it was such a good deal i figured i would just ask to see how big of a pita it would be..

No, you can't modify the awd downpipe to fit a fwd. You can find stainless steel fwd downpipes on ebay. They work very well and they're cheap (around $50). Just make sure they're either Tsudo or Megan.

Thanks for the input guys... Anyone wanna buy a apexi dp? :D

Mods, i guess you can close this thread now..

you can indeed put a awd down pipe on a fwd with little modification. i bought an awd downpipe off ebay because it was the only true 3 inch i could find. all i had to do was cut a notch out of the pipe and heat it and bend it a little to the side and ofcourse welded the notch back closed, it bolted up perfectly to the rest of my exhaust. my friend also did the same thing to his gs-t last weekend. its very simple as long as u have a welder and something to cut the pipe available.

The main difference that i found out from looking and installing an AWD and a FWD downpipe is that there is a slight bend about 9" from the outlet. Like "97fwdtsitalon" said, it is possable but you ahve to do a little work yourself. It would be easier and cheaper to just buy a FWD downpipe.
