hey kids, what are some signs that your cat converter is going bad? my car stutters at full throttle. doesnt really seem like a boost leak and feels like its stuttering in the exhaust. i got underneath the car and when i knock on the cat, it rattles a little. any knowledge to share?

Well, if it rattles when you knock on it, chances are that its bad, it's definetely not supposed to do that! They also do have testers at some muffler shops ... and most will check your exhaust for free... they want the money for fixing it hahaha. Anyway, hope that helps a little.

Good Luck

My cat went bad. I knew it was bad because it sounded like there were marbles flying around in side of it. The baffles eventually break down and come loose.

I have an better idea. Hack it off and make your car 20HP faster. Youll never have to worry about it going bad again.

Yeah I would just take it off and replace with a test pipe. Good power gain. You know when your cat is going bad when you smell the worst thing you ever smelled. Like 10 dozen rotten eggs in a bag strapped to your neck.
