Sick of this Big A$$ steering wheel

Yes, they are the same. Easiest and cheapest wheel reducer is to use a 1G wheel on a 2G.

THANKS! Just wanted to confirm before spending money and its more knowledge in the DSM bank...hahaha.

Yea I got a hold of a Tenzo wheel and just need to get a hub. There was no listing for a 2g hub, only the 1g

Yea I am down with a quick release but most of the ones I have seen make the steering wheel too close to you...like too far away from the hub and I want it as close to stock as possible.

Personally, I disable the airbag in any car I'm going to own. Sure, if you slam into a tree at 65, it might help save your life. A proper harness will also do so. The difference is, for those of us who wear glasses, the harness will NOT fracture the lenses and stab the shards into your eyes when you get into an accident.
I've seen more accidents where the airbag has done DRASTICALLY more damage than would have been suffered with just the OEM belt. One happened to a friend of mine.. the lady that rear-ended him was going 25. Her whole face was slashed up and burnt by the airbag, and whiplash was likely, due to the deployment.

Airbags are a good example of a decent idea that got far more backing than it ever should have. They do reduce fatalities somewhat, in the accidents for which they are designed... but 'lesser' injuries are sharply magnified, along with giving insurance companies more reasons to total vehicles out, repair (in some cases, just vacuuming and replacing the deployed bag(s)) and re-sell them at profit.

Short version. Replace the wheel, get a proper harness, install both correctly, and don't sweat it. It's very likely that you're safer like that, than with the stock wheel-bomb.

Also, I was looking at my steering wheel, and want to get an aftermarket one, but is it possible to keep the cruise controls and/or relocate them (the ones on the right side of the wheel)? I want a different wheel, but I use the cruise a lot since I drive an hour on the highway to work every day. If the controls can be detached from the wheel, I can relocate them, but if not, then I guess I am stuck with the stock wheel. anyone know?

my 2g steeringwheel is a lil big for my taste i kinda wanted something smaller with a after market look but a stock feeling i was thinking about the evo steeringwheel its smaller looks good and still with an airbag would it be possibel 4 a such mood?

From what ive hear no its not a direct bolt on so there will be some holes to drill.. as far as the SRS connection you will have to look and see. by the way those things are about 1200 bucks from the dealer. I know because i called and asked them.

ok 1200 is def out the question i was thinking about the momo evo millenium i think thats ### its called its like the evo but momo can any one give me tips on ### wheel to get that would be smaller then my 2g one but still be a direct bolt one with airbag?
thanks
