Careful. Don't read stuff into what I write. All I said was that the rear subframe on a 2G AWD is massive and needs no help at all. Whether a FWD needs help is an open question for me. I doubt it for a variety of reasons, but it is possible.

I know old thread.
I just installed a front and rear DC strut bar on my GST.
I had no intention to get one but for the price I couldnt pass it up.
Paid $85.00 for both the front and rear.
I have the front bar installed backwards to clear the battery terminal.
I can say that these bars have made a difference, the car feels tighter and more responsive.
I can also say that I have a Ebay set on my GS and the Ebay feel the same as the DC brand.

If you have a lot of grip, then they can make a difference, especially if your car has a sunroof. If you're on a near-stock suspension with typical tires, however, I'm sorry to say that a majority of it is in your head; it might be reducing the rattles a little, but without a good suspension and good tires, your car just can't generate the forces to make STBs really useful.

Well I have KYB Struts with what i guess is Ebay lowering springs.
Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Position for tires.
Taking the swerves on the road feels alot tighter than before.

I am wondering what the best design is. In my mind the DC Sports solid unit with the double bars is the best design. I really would like to get them, but I don't want to get the wrong design.

Currently sitting on KYB GR-2 with stock springs that bave been cut for an ~.5 inch drop. I can't run a drop spring due to my driveway. Anyone more than .5" and I bottom out in several places. I am also running 245/50/zr17 all seasons. Planning on getting something stickier for track, and replacing the gr2s with yellows and probably RRE upper mounts.
