SHould I trade my 240sx for a GS-T

I got a good offer to trade my 95 240sx for a 97 GS-t and some cash.The GS-t Has this stuff on it.
Mods:
16G Turbo
Hi Flow Fuel Injectors
First Gen. Intake Manifold
Injen Intake Piping
GReddy Intercooler with Full Hard Piping
Test Pipe
GReddy 6 Inch Muffler


The owner says its running rich (GS-T owner)

My 240 needs a whole bunch of other things to be street legal.

Anyways Im trying to get 12.8 or 13.3's in the 1/4 a daily driver setup that can occasionaly used for autocross setup.I really want a AWD but i would have to wait a long time intill i can save enough for one or a loan to come thru maybe buy the end of the year or summer.

Thanks for your help everyone GS-T's were made also besides GSX's they can be all that bad especailly from a roll.

Why does everyone automatically say DSMLINK as soon as someone says they need to be tuned. THAT SHIT IS EXPENSIVE. A budget tuner has no NEED for dsmlink. A SAFC will do just fine to tune it, most people that have dsmlink don't even get CLOSE to using it for its full potental. With some tuning and a few more mods you should be able to get those low numbers easily, may possibly need slicks or a lsd insert but it can be done.
 
Becuase its a good program. 595 is not expensive. Get over it. For a budget tuner yes. Build a car the right way. Yes we know gst's can kick from a roll. ;)
 
that car should already be in the mid to low 13's with proper tunning. My buddy has a gst with 380whp with a evo 16g and hes fully tunned and he roars down the road. No i just need to get my DSM Link working LOLol

But dsm link is alot better i think if you really gonna mod a car. and think for 600 bux thats cheep for what it does and all the features it has. Id say its worth a trade but find out the millage on the car and what kind of motor and clutch is in it. via 6bolt or 7 bolt motor.

Pepole have gone into the 12's with a 14b so that car shoudnt need much more to get in the high 12's.
 
Well, my brother has a 240sx with a rb26det swap and that thing is quick once its wheels plant. I dunno.....I'm not much of a FWD fan. It's all in what you want man. 240sx have a lot of potential, as does the GS-T. Seeing as i have a talon, and my bro has a 240, i love both cars, and both are extremely fast. Too close to call....but i do know the GS-T will be cheaper to mod, and they look better in my opinion. I would keep the 240 and save up for a sr20det, or rb26det swap, and make sure you get some differentials with that set-up.

Isn't an SAFC close to $300? DO you need the SAFC with the DSMLink? If not then I would say for an extra $300 you have so much more... based on what I havew read... I am a fan of buying things once and with the Link you have room to grow...
 
get the gs-t,this is a dsm site.what other answer is there.if you check the tech guide it will tell you what it takes to get your car where you want it.There are many options you can take.
 
For the budget conscious tuners. A GS-T is definitely easier to mods and get big power number out of the car with just bolt-on's. Unless I am full time mechanic, I wouldn't think about swapping engines and everything else. That's just my .02cents... :coy:
