should i swap. or keep auto tranny

ok i know this has prolly been posted a million times. so dont wine about it. i havent really gotten the anwser ive been lookin for. I have 95 n/t talon. automatic. i was a 5 spd. BAD.
but its just going to be alot of money to swap it. but if i did. what would i need. and i know it would take a while to install. or should i just get a new talon or clipse. or, just get some performance mods to the automatic, and if so, what could i all do. im just lost on all this. because i love my car its my baby. but i can always have another baby thanks

if you want performance out of an N/T, plan on spending an obscene amount of money after the standard Intake/Headers/Exhaust mods. Then it might be worth it to switch to the 5 speed. Trust me, I know where your coming from. I like the 5 speed better myself, but its not very much faster compared to the automatic on an N/T. Thats why i'm pocketing paychecks for a tsi/gst/gsx. If you've got your heart set on the 5 speed swap, you'll need the tranny and ecu, if i remember. Could cost a lot of $$$ and take a lot of time. What i'm doing is mild performance and body mods and a completely new interior, Then the Esi hits the auction blocks. Hope this helps.

It really depends on what you want out of the car. An N/T will never be as cost efficient as a turbo is. You'll have to get into the engine a lot sooner. Sounds like you should be doing as BlueTalon suggested...saving up for a turbo 5 speed.
