Should I race?

The dealer will not be accountable for any problem with the crank pulley. Replacing it is easy....you need to do it from underneath though. Where is the car? did you drive it home or tow it somewhere or what?

I towed it home from edina to my house. Last night, I towed it (with my mom's Tarus ) to a mechanic who is a friend of my dads. He was familiar with the problem and scheduled an appointment for friday. He thinks he may be able to fit it in between appointments to get it done sooner for me though.
After I get it home, I will send it to a local performance shop where they will try to combat my boost creep problems, install my walbro 255, and SAFC. I may be able to get a supra MKIV ic for free from some dude on supraforums.com. Then I plan on installing a 20g, 660's, ACT clutch, and mabe a front mount. Hopefully I will run 12's this spring.

He won't say his mods.

Got the car fixed today and asked if he wanted to race this weekend, but he wants to wait until summer when he gets more mods done. He also said he didn't want to race in the winter because he would have no traction with the ground wet. Waiting until summer won't be any better for him because I plan on installing a supra sidemount and a 20g. I am also getting my SAFC, Walbro 255 and injectors installed monday and my boost creep fixed.

ahh he is full of shit.. there was a guy like that at my school some asian guy.. talked smack all the time and said he would bet slips.. his car was a 300zx and he wouldn't let anyone look under the hood.. personaly i think all he had was a exhaust system which is why he wouldn't let anyone look under the hood..

if he's like the guy i knew he's just all talk..

yep, all talk. if hes worried about traction and want more mods first then hes afraid to race you.

the ground wasnt wet yesterday, but good luck for about a week. its the beggining of my spring break and we just got dumped on.

your right, He probably is all talk. Hopefully I can get him to race me in the summer after he has more mods, because I will have more mods done also.

For all you know he could have some stuff inside his Mustang you don't know about. I don't know much about TSi but I do know you shouldn't gloat before the race. The Mustang is the pride of American street racer

I have never been beaten by a street driven stang.

High school kids usually brag about how fast there cars are, so when he says "probably 13's" hes talking out of his ass and in for a rude awakening when he first goes to the track.

GL with that Turbo engine, wish I had one. If one of the Mustangs at my school asked me to race I'm pretty sure I'd get my ass kicked.

I was going to give John Haley Motorsports a shot but they sat on my car for a week without touching it. I made an appointment for a monday for them to check out my boost creep, install my safc and walbro 255 pump. I callled them on thursday night and they didn't even touch my car. I was pissed off and picked my car up from them. All they did was waste my time and force me to drive around in my moms teal taurus (uglier color than grandma gold).

I may try Elite Autosports because some dsm guy reccomended them to me. Do you know any good dsm shops?

John Haley motorsports sucks. They once tried to dyno a 3000GT VR4 just by dropping the driveshaft.

Elite is good, depending on what you want done. Kinda spendy, I only go there for dyno tuning.

What do you want "checked out" on your boost creep? Theres not a whole lot you can do about it without getting an O2 atmosphere dump or porting the hell out of the wastegate hole on the turbo...ie taking the turbo off.
