I took my car to the track for the first time since most of the mods listed in my profile. The tuning isn't the best since all I'm using is a translator and a logger, and I didn't really even make any adjustments yet. My boost was at about 22.5 for the first run and 23 for the second. Keep in mind this is on 93 octane with stock cams and no real tuning.

Run - 1

Reaction - .994
60 ft - 1.925
330 ft - 5.282
1/8 et - 8.086
1/8 mph - 86.89
1000 ft - 10.453
1/4 et - 12.488
1/4 mph - 111.09

Run - 2

Reaction - 1.380
60 ft - 1.871
330 ft - 5.236
1/8 et - 8.019
1/8 mph - 91.25
1000 ft - 12.384
1/4 et - 12.430
1/4 mph - 110.56

I realize my reaction times or 60 foots weren't the best, but I'm working on it still. The thing that really confuses me is the 1/8 mph difference between the 2 runs since my 1/8 mph went up by 5 mph!!! The one with the faster / higher mph 1/8 mile was with the extra 1/2 psi, but then it seems it fell on it's face on topend. I am tuned pig rich ( .98v using O2 sensor 1 ... I know it's not the proper way to tune, but I just wanted an idea where I was at so I logged a 3rd gear pull and that was on a cold night a few weeks ago ) however my topend still sucks more with more boost. I think this means the most amount of boost I can safely run on pump and I should tune for is around 22 psi then since at 22.5 knock was almost none at that level? Are these decent times considering I'm on stock cams, pump gas, and tuned pig rich on a larger size turbo, or should I still be going faster? It seems to me it's just a tuning issue, but I was aiming for a high 11 on pump and trapping at least 114 or so. Is this possible if I just lower the boost to 22 or so and lean it out and get faster times out of it? Any advice or input would be appreciated. Thanks.

If I adjust the wot setting counterclockwise on the translator a click, roughly how many volts will my O2 values go down? I need to go down from .98 to about .92 and also turn the boost down a psi or so and I think I'll be fine. Can I expect my values to decrease .06 by just turning the wot knob 1 click? My logger died last week so I just need to get it close.

I would be a little upset, cause I have trapped 110 w/ my evo3 on pump. Sounds like you need some tuning, didnt you have DSMLink for a while, if so, hook that up. Studderbox works wonders with the launching. I just went 12.064 @ 114.5 on my evo 3 with 100 octane.

how much boost were you running to get that time? I know on race gas with more boost I'd hit low 12s / high 11s as well, but my goal was to hit 11s on pump. I had dsmlink but got rid of it since I was selling the car. I might end up buying it again and throwing in some 272s.

If there was no way you were ever going to get your car faster with that setup i would be upset. Just think you ran 12.4 with no tuning. Tune her and throw cams in her then see those low 11's fly by. :rocks:

yea that's true. I'll look into the cams later this week and tune it and see how it runs after that. I turned the boost down to 20 last night without making any fuel adjustments and it feels a lot better now. Looks like it was definitly just tuning issues.

I figured you would not want to say a time with all those guys up at Dunkin Robins, but hey man don't get down. Just tune it and you'll be set! Lemme know if you ever need a hand.

ha yea .... I don't really want too many locals seeing my times. The only reason I posted it on here is because no other locals really go on these boards. Thanks for offering to help and please keep everything on the dl about my car. :thumb: I'll let you know how it does when I run it again after the cams.

Hell yea, your secret is safe with me! Let me know if you need a hand! Im game for some DSM work.
