I'll be starting my car for the first time this weekend after almost a year build for some weird reason I'm just not visualizing how or even if the 6mm taller deck height affects base ignition timing on a 2.4 4G64 build. I know for sure cam timing is affected and I've already set my cam timing to spec.
The way I see it, it would seem that the timing belt would have zero affect on ignition tming on a 7 bolt and that the entire relationship (at least on a 7 bolt) is limited to the crank sensor and the trigger plate. The only way I can see that changing is if the position of the crank sensor itself or the trigger plate were altered on the crankshaft. I think I've answered my own question here but I just want to be 100% sure I'm not missing something.
