Should i drop the exhaust at the strip?

Does anybody drop there exhaust at the track?
Will i gain or loose any power/time from this?
The only place i can drop it is right after the o2 because its solid from there back.

My mods are
garrett vtrim
tial 38mm external wastegate with atmo dump
full 3" exhaust no cat
sbr fmic
walbro 255 hp
660cc injectors
2g mass
afc neo
act 2600
ANd the rest of the supporting stuff.

Well, you're probably not going start running in the 9s by dropping the exhaust. :rolleyes: But for those people who want to shed all the "unnecessary weight" they can, then uninstalling most of the exhaust system wouldn't hurt in that regard. Plenty of people still keep their upgraded exhaust systems on though (including our beloved John Shepherd - or at least he used to before he chose to go with the side exit exhaust setup).
 
if your track allows it then i would say go for it. Why not try? My track requires a working muffler, no cutout or anything so ive never had the chance (unless i want to pay for test n tune, they allow it then)
