See pics. Not sure if I should spend the time to get it cleaned up really good or not. Im fairly certain the previous owner spun a rod bearing but I dont know if he cleaned out the head really well or not. The pictures look clean but there is some grit and grime near the bottom of the head.

Also, now is a good time for me to port, any suggestions? I will be buying carbide burrs here shortly.

So I found jafromobiles many youtube videos on cylinder heads and started to follow them. Im up to valve spring removal and found that the majority of my valves are leaking badly. Looks like the rest of those videos will be getting some attention.

If you take it to a machine shop to get it hot tanked (that's what I would do), they will usually remove everything and put it back together for no extra charge. At least thats what the machine shop did for me where I go to. They also re-seated all my valves for a good price as well. I would recommend that while you're in there. That phrase kills my wallet. LOL

I was planning on porting the head along with as much valve work as I can do, similar to how jafro did. If I need to get a machine shop to do some work I am unable to do, then so be it. After that it will see the hot tank to get cleaned up.
