Should I buy a Miata?

Go for the miata , I've had my '99 for 4 years and loved every minute of it. Here's a story for ya ,I gave my friend the keys of my miata for a week and i took his '98 t/a formula ws6 with a zo6 enigne and bolt on's dynoed at 500hp , let alone i couldn't afford to use the car for driving to work ( had to use my talon it was that bad mpg's ) . I had to pry the keys from him at the end of the week and he sold the ws6 and bought a same model year miata as me. Sure it's ####ing scary doing 100 down the highway but what the hell. When your times up it 's up , no matter what you do. And here's a bonus , it's not like a S2000 so who the F#$k would bother stealing it ?

to everyone calling the miata a girl car, take a step back. The 2G eclipse has a similar reputation. I think a lowered miata with a removable hard top and twin roll bars looks good.

the miata has EXCELLENT weight distibution , light fun , handles good, your only as ### as you think you are lulz

I personally see more middle aged men driving these than ### guys or women. even then who cares? I know a guy guys that drives a 2g GSX and there are thousands of girls who drive 2g's , if a miata is a girly car than so is a 3000gt bc theres like 2 guys who own them in my town adn there all over the place the rest is women.

Sell both the N/T and get a Honda Civic DX or CX. Very reliable cars, EASY to work on, GREAT on gas and you save a ton on insurance. So you'd be able to pick up a drum set with the money you save.

If WAY WAY WAY down the line you want to mod it. B16A2, B18C1, B18C5, LS/VTEC, B20, F20C, H22A, VTEC, K20A, K24A, you have endless options for motor swaps and you can turbo all of them. Heck even do the rare 4G63 swap.

I'd just pick up a Turbo AWD DSM though.

FWIW, if anyone goes Miata, either turbo it or drop in an LS1. Either way you won't be disappointed.
