Should I Buy a GS then add a tubo or buy GSX/ GST?

I was wondering whether i should buy a stock turbo or add it with an after market turbo system?
 
Just buy a car that's already turbo. Then spend the money on making it safe and fast instead going through all of the hassle of adding a kit later. I'm not bashing on the guys that have done it but, I'd rather go the less painful route.
 
It seems like these threads pop up once a week now. Coming from somebody who once owned a 95 N/T please do yourself a favor and get a GST or GSX. You wont regret it and plus if you're good you can get 2g's for cheaper than some people think you can get them for.

Coming from someone that has done it, it is not that painful to do. It only took me 2 days to get my turbo kit in. It is a little on the costly side though so keep that in mind. My motor is also going under the knife this winter which is also more bills so in the end it's up to you.
 
What most of the people in this thread stated is really not about how hard it is to turbo the car but just the cost itself especially when it comes to wanting to run at higher boost levels than the 8psi that the stock bottom end can handle. I would do this if I got a NT for dirt cheap but if I have enough money to get a GST/X then factory turbocharged it is.
 
Go for the GSX 1g.... I love mine--- AWD is road hugging awesome.. you cant go wrong... I picked mine up for $2000 with 110k miles...


Couldn't agree more. I found my 91 TSI AWD for $1500 stock with 130k and have absolutely no regrets. If you look at the classifieds section on this site you can usually find something that is slightly upgraded for a reasonable price.
