Should i buy a 3" DP?

Well, I have a b16g with a FP manifold now, also have an open dump housing, ported gate flange, I also have a cat back exhaust, no cats, The only thing not aftermarket in my setup is my Stock Downpipe. Now, where my o2 housing 2-bolt flange meets my stock DP, the 02 side is like 3" opening, the DP side is like 2-1/2". If anyone has noticed with the stock DP, the actual pipeing sticks up out of the flange like 1/4" and that pipe goes inside my 02 hole with room to spare.
I can tell that this will be a big restriction in my exhaust system, but could this resistance give me less chance of creep with my 16G or should i jsut match it to have the maximum flow. Like i said, my exhaust is 3" from DP back.

Thanks for input. Any good direct fits, I sold my other car with my megan racing DP, but it cracked a bit.

Get the downpipe from punishment racing. It's made by cxracing.
I am currently running this very same DP and i love the finish and fit, and it's working great.
I am suffering boost creep however but since you have ported your o2 to 3" it should help somewhat a little.
None theless it is a restriction going from a big exit to a smaller one.
Get the 3".

this ###### wont help you at all but ill tell you a story... my car was stock and i raced a 350z with mods that went 14.2 at the track and lost by 2 cars... i switched to a 14b with less boost(so your turbo is bigger with ###### more boost) and an apexi N1 dp (which for a 2g isnt quite 3 inch) + a thermal r&d 3" exhaust. Smoked the 350z by 6 cars and it wasnt the driver cause its automatic..

like i said im sure this doesn't help... but my vote is +1 for the 3"

Hey Dsmj89, my open dump 02 housing came with a 3" DP outlet and 2-3/4" inlet off of the turbo hotside. It came like that, so it is a huge 02 housing, ill take pics of it, and how its sort of too big.
