Ok, so I apparently fixed the short that had been in my car by repairing some ground points. However when I tested my car for shorts with only the normal components hooked up my test light did not light up when testing between the neg battery terminal and the neg battery cable with the cable disconnected from the battery.
However, when I hooked up the 2 relays I have ran ( one for fuel pump rewire, and other for fuse block for accessories I added) it lit my test light as a short. I know the relays are wired correctly, and when I connect the neg cable you hear them click. However, the relays do not keep powering the items as if they were shorting.
The fuel pump runs when its supposed to, and the fuse panel is ran off the relay with a 8ga power supply to it from the battery, then a 10ga from the relay to the fuse panel. The ign turns it on, and the ground is to the chassis.
Is this a draw I should worry about? My multi meter is broken ATM so I cant really test for the draw across them. But I just replaced the battery and would prefer not having to deal with the shorts anymore.
