Not at all. The 6 and 7 refer to how many bolts hold the flywheel on to the crank. My Datsun 2000 Roadster is a 12-bolt. Any motor can be had as either a long block or a short block.badluck7070 said:is it just saying that a long block is a 7 bolt and the short block is a 6 bolt a little confused on this
keep on rockin!
2DaTrakNow said:So technically its the same block. One block isnt shorter or longer or anything like that right? I wasnt sure if a long block could be some kind of stroker kit thing or something like that, and a short block would be stock. But since a long block just has more stuff that goes along with it, it seems like a better name would be a "complete" block, or a "full" block, and a short block should be considered something like a "partial" block, or something like that.
Does anybody see where im coming from, or should i just keep my trap shut so i dont get laughed at--------->
But, I thought the same thing at one time so I am not going to make fun of you now.
