shock question

hey sorry guys kind of a noob question. do you have to use the stock shock mounts with just konis, or the agx also. i think i have agx on there now and it looks like there not the stock mounts. basicaly i just want something i can bolt on. i dont mind paying a little more for a better shock but i dont want to have to cut the shock apart and drain oil and stuff. so let me know thanks in advance.

1G Koni fronts are inserts, you re-use the stock housing. AGX's are direct replacements.

If you have the means buy the koni. Cutting the strut isn't a big deal. Tube cutter under the weld works very well and a simple dimple and hole drilled in teh bottom is all that's needed to install the inserts. I had them on my 1g and besides something alot more esoteric it's likely the best you're going to find off the shelf.

I would recommend getting the Koni's also. They're a much better shock than the AGX's, and they can be rebuilt as well.
