Yes another adventure with my Talon. I was driving home from my girlfriends house today and i pull into the gas station. I notice small ploom of smoke coming from the passanger side of the hood. I pop the hood and see green liquid dropping onto my new 16g turbo. It turns out the antifreeze line goining into/or over my turbo is leaking right where it connects to the metal stub. The metal hose clamp was too lose and every time i held it tighter it would stop leaking and when i let go it would start dripping again. Can i just a plastic zip type where the medal one is or should i get the same kind?

get the screw down kind, im currently replacing all my old hoses, with these.
stock hose clamps on these cars are stuuupid, i dont think i'll ever understand why some of these non-screw down clamps were ever used.
like the one your describing squeezing is looser. :dsm:

Because they install in ¼-second and without skill, instead of four seconds and a bit of sense regarding how tight, making it cheaper for the factory to assemble with union labor.

It is important not to overlook an additional problem, overtime these lines corrode, remove a hose an you'll see what I am refering to. If it important to remove the corrosion as well to ensure a proper seal, but agreed, these clamps aren't ideal.
