shift pattern is shifted over to the right: NEED HELP

my whole shift pattern in my 5 speed gsx 2g is shifted over to the right. What could cause this problem. 1rst gear feels like 3. I have not run the car yet or tested anything due to the engien problmes. But i was wondering what would cause the whole pattern to be shifter over. It goes in all gears but doesnt seem right. Any tips or help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

bizump, anyone have any ideas?

shift link in the center console? It seems to move okay in there. just wont move all the way over to the left.
