Shift linkage issue

Yesterday my car started acting up it wouldn't shift to second or reverse the only way I could get it to work was by pulling the shift boot and pulling back on the linkage to get it in gear. Everything in their looks tight what's the most common fix for it. Clutch pressure is still good no leaks their.

Check on the trans to see if it's frayed.

It doesn't appear so everything looks nice and tight on the trans. One thing I did notice is it looks like the rear motor mount isnt connected to anything is their supposed to be a bracket that connects it to the block?

There are rubber bushings on the transmission that the shift linkage goes too. They break/wear down and prevent you from going into reverse, since it is the hardest gear to get into. I recommend purchasing skateboard bearings or they supply high quality aluminum ones on ebay. This was probably one of the best mods i have done in my opinion.

Yes your rear motor mounts connects to the block. If your missing the mount i'm sure one of the vendors on here sells them, or check your local junk yard.

Ya I ended up ordering all the bushings and got the rear bracket from a member on here so should clear it up
