haha funny but i actually think they are quite useful. you dont need to keep glancing at the rpms when racing, light comes on and you shift. less distraction IMO

I just wish people would use them correctly. I hate seeing ricers with shift-lights that set them about 1000 rpm too soon so they stay lit for a few seconds and the world can say "hey look, that guy has a shift light."

Well, okay. But can't you feel when it's time to shift? I mean, even if you can't hear it.

I just don't buy that an engine is going to be at just the "right" shift point within 500 rpm every time.
