Shift Light GSX

I want to install a shift light in my 98 gsx, im new at the whole DSM thing and to cars to be honest. had a RS FELL IN LOVE! got a GSX STILL IN LOVE (with both) I cant seem to find instructions to do that on my eclipse, maybe some one can help me? and what about the RPM setting where should i set it to?

what mods do you have on your car?

The way that I determine when to shift is to find the point on the descent of the powercurve where if you drew a strait line over from the right to the left and the distance covered is more than 1000 rpm. If you were going to program a light to tell you when to shift then you should program about 750 rpm before the shiftpoint. Im guessing 750 based on the average of the gear sizes.

I wouldnt put a shift light on...but thats just me.

yeah.. installing a shift light and a tach the size of a basketball on your honda is pretty badass and even more badass on a DSM .
Installation will be the same too. Hook it up and plug it in. And depending on your mods, a stock shiftpoint is pretty good anywhere form 6000-6500rpm.

what mods do you have on your car?

I wouldnt put a shift light on...but thats just me.

Im going with only a shift light, I hate the big clock size tech on hondas, so im just going with a small shift light that i will hide in my glove box and just run a small led to my dash.

i have a 7inch intercooler (the one that doesnt make you cut or remove your bumper) intake and filter, NGK plugs, apiex exhaust, high flow cat, pacesetter turbo headers, 255hp fuel pump, and tinted windows and also going to buy a bigger turbo then the t-25 but im not sure witch one yet, i want somthing that will still pass a smog test here in califorina but have more ba$$ then the stock T-25. basically i want a daliy driver that i want to take to the track once in a while to make fun of hondas
