Kincardine,
Ok everyone my engine is shakin like Madd and it's not the mounts and the timing is right so I'm guessing it's the flywheel or i bent the input shaft while putting it in...what would you guys say it is?.. and will an automatic tranny engine fit on a standered Tranny?...
thanks

Man it seems like a ton of people are having problems with their throwoutbears, and inputshafts. But who knows could be totally unrelated. Now from your post, I'm assuming your a 5spd who wants to go automatic???? Don't do it!
And do you feel a vibration when you rest your foot lightly on the clutch pedal? This was my problem, right before my Tob decided to melt (the plastic part) and then break my input shaft. (twice). I hope this insn't your problem at all honestly. but good luck. It might be time to take your tranny apart and make sure everything is okay. I know its a lot, but it might save you some frustration later.

Ok this is what i did.....i crashed a talon (A/T) so i took everything out of it (engine suspension and so on) and then i bought a talon for 1000 bucks with a blown engine (manual trans) so i put my engine in it ....Now will the A/T flywheel fit on with the manual trans?....i couldn't get it to fit so i put the one on from the blown engine ...but the holes were rounded out to fit the clutch...would that make a shake...the clutch not centered?...and if so will that other flywheel fit?..
Thanks

mine shakes pretty bad when i shut her down and sometimes when i turn it on is this related to your guys problem cause i was getting worried as well

Just go have the old flywheel reserfaced, doesn't cost a lot.
Careful here BigRand. He said that there were some holes rounded out on the old flywheel to accomodate the clutch. Without seein' what holes and how bad, I would be leery about working with that flywheel. Flywheels are very sensitive to balance problems. I would just pick up a used stocker and work with that. They aren't expensive and you get a little piece of mind.
