serious running problem

ok so i was backing out of my driveway when my car started to bog and wanted to stall and then my CEL came on and my car has no pickup to it i can floor it in neutral and it wont rev as fast as it used to.. my car also became alot louder and doesnt go anywhere... i have to floor it to get anything out of it and also my car will die when i hit the clutch... it idles like under 200 rpm and pretty much doesnt run... i didnt really hear any ticking sounds but i would have to check that again... any ideas? i was driving it a few hours before with no problems at all any ideas? i thought maybe a spun bearing?

A spun rod bearing be be a fairly loud *knock* not a tick, especially at idle.

Have you checked all your timing marks to make sure everything lines up? It might've jumped time. Sounds kinda like how my car ran when the exhaust cam was off a couple teeth.

+1 Sounds like timing is off. A video would help. (as would clear and complete sentences)

First of all before jumping to concclusions get the cel checked out.

was the car running poorly prior to the day it actually broke? and was it running poorly as soon as u started it or only once u started to back out
