i searched and thought it was the tps which someone else told me it was. i got it in the mail and it is in no way close to it. the senor iam looking for is about the size of a quarter or so. it on the driverside under the intake manifold. sits flat on the block.

the knock sensor is on the back of the motor.. this thing is right under the manifold.. the knock sensor plugs to the motor in the rear.. this thing is facing straigt up and down and is right under the manifold.. i mean i have to wedge my hand in there to touch this..

one wire connects to the harness and the other part is this sensor.

Is the sensor itself attached to the manifold or to the head/block??? If its attached to the block then its the knock sensor. If its attached to the top of the head its your MAP sensor. 2G's came with MAP sensors to back up the MAF sensor and used only to get you home if the MAF fails. I looked on CAPS for you and its the only two sensors they show in the diagrams. I don't know how to help you further.

All depends on what sensor it is. There is no sensor that connects to the bottom of the intake manifold. There is a sensor that connects to the top of the manifold itself, which is the MAP sensor. The one behind the engine, about the size of a quater, is the knock sensor. Its mounted high, almost to the top of the block. Has 2 wires coming out of it, and it plugs into a connector that is mounted on the bottom of the intake manifold. There are other sensors around that area, but they all have vacuum lines leading to them. I wish i could do a screen shot of CAPS and post it so you could see what I'm talking about.
The MAP sensor is mounted atop of the plenum on the intake manifold. Its flat, round, and has a square top with a plug. Should have 2 screws/bolts that hold it in. This is as much info as i can give you. I wish i could help you more but this is all that CAPS shows.

Can you post a pic of what it looks like/ area that its in? Anymore info that you can provide us would be very helpful in determining what sensor you need.
