Well ive owned both the joe p and sbr MBC and both have shook loose the screw and it fell out while driving and i lost the ball and spring.

is there a spring and ball i can buy for my sbr one to replace it? or do i just need to get with technology and grab an electronic boost controller???

i tighten the mbc screw and check it regularly, what makes it come out so easily???

allot of my friends put a set nut on there so when you got the boost level you want tighten down then nut and the screw cant get loose

Just about every manufacturer runs different length springs and different size and material balls so your best bet is to call sbr and see if they can send you what you need. And as stated, install a jambnut on the adjustment screw and tighten it against the body of the mbc after boost is set.

Usually it is a 5/16" bearing, as for the spring, you could just buy a long one and go trial and error with it, you should be alright as long as you have a boost gauge. I made my own using the instructions from vfaq, and it works perfectly. I have had it for about 2 weeks.

yea, if you can make your own mbc, what makes you think you cant fix yours?

local hardware store, just see what fits... and make sure the spring isnt too long like mine was...

Same thing happened to me. I went to Ace hardware and they had the ball and spring...Here 's a tip on the spring tho, if you cant find one, look for a broken car appliance, anything that plugs in to the cigarette lighter, it should have an inline fuse in it...there is a spring in there about an inch and a half long, you can use that spring, the first time I bought one, the second time I used one from a broken portable car heater.

Heres a little trick we use on aircraft in the Navy. Drill a small hole in the screw and run... well we call it safetywire, I think you civilians call it lockwire, through the hole and then twist it until it reaches the body of the mbc, and wrap it to the body. Be sure that the wire is set to "tighten" the screw, ie. if you were to try to loosen the screw the wire wont let you. On Navy aircraft we use this method on all bolts, nuts, and screws that are in high vibration areas, and that are important to aircraft safety. Its brilliant, and I actually have pliers that twist the wire for you. In fact Ive seen some sailors' cars that are almost entirely held together by the stuff ROFL
