I have a scm6152e on my talon. I just got it tuned and didnt make as much power as I thought it may have. I know the non-mitsu housing sc61's make alot more power. I was wondering if it was possible to get the t3 housing that is non-internal WG non-mitsu housing?? Is it just the housing or is the turbine wheel different too??

456.7awhp 424awtq.. the t3 version should be good for around +/- 600awhp (with more mods than what I have) I was hoping this turbo would have been good for closer +/- to 500awhp..

dude thats pretty close to 500, even switching fuels to run more timing and your at 500. Maybe run a few more mods and see if you can eek out a few more hp to get you to your goal. dont have to switch out the turbine housing.

I was hoping to hit over 500 with this turbo, but the internal wastegate is holding it back.. I hit 32psi and then it drops like 5-6psi. with the external wastegate it should be able to hold the boost and the different design of the t3 housing being able to flow more with the manifold will net me more hp on top of holding the boost. which would be closer to the 600hp mark.

Stock 6 bolts are better than people give them credit for.. Local guy is making almost 700awhp on his 2g with stock 6bolt. he went 10.8 @ 140mph I still plan on building a motor for it and going with a billet 67 or maybe the Borg warner S372R??

Dude! Why the heck are you complaining, those are good number for that old turbo, believe me that turbo was WAY overrated. Also what kind of dyno did you do it on, if your still unhappy with your results, post up a log, and do boost leak test while your at it

not complaining. .. I just want to know if I could get the t3 housing for this turbo so I could pick up alot more power for cheap Or do I have to change a bunch of stuff which would be a waste of money I could be putting towards a big(er) turbo which I would like to get someday anyway!!

You'll definitely have more flow per psi with the larger housing(.63a/r+) but you're not going to pick up 140whp just by going to a T3 turbine housing
Care to post any logs of your current setup?
What type of dyno was this on?
Have you thought about just getting an O2 housing and running the external off of that?

I know Im not gonna pick up that much power without other mods.. but the person who tuned my car has a 1g with similar set up with the t3 sc61 and it makes about 100 more wheel hp on a 2.0l..

I dont have any logs.. It was tunned on a chip no dsmlink yet. I want to get the new one and go speed density. Maybe get that over the winter???

Pretty happy to know that my car+passenger>05 60rr!!

problems that need to fixed:

Head lifts under high boost and pushes coolant.--- Need L19's

Exhaust goes from 3" to 2.5" half way back???? wtf..--- need to get 3"+ all the way out the back.

clutch act 2600 w/street disk is starting to slip --- need to get the 4 or 6 puck or twin disk
