Should know a machine shop said they will charge me $49 to tear apart my head to see what's wrong with it and $189 to clean it and do a valve job. Now do I need to remove my cams first or no?

Should know I'd love to have a 2gb GSX.

Kreez, I'm still on the stock clutch. It's holding my 14b at 20psi with 5500rpm launches! Lol

should tell Edm95 that the cams need to come of in order to bolt the head back onto the block. So i would say yes. Remove the cams and label everything you take of.

is a helpful person :thumb:

Should tell EDM95 that last resort is to try and turn it out with vice-grips.

Should know I was considering an ACT 1200 street with either a Fidanza or ACT flywheel. A fella at the last race who knows DSMs pretty well said the OE Mitsu clutches are good enough for under 350hp. I don't see my plans getting me that far past 275hp, so I'm just weighing options.

Know's 2G's do it better!

Oh really? Your stock 2g suspension won't handle the dirt very well, I assure you :)

Knows that 2gs may not be good on dirt, but are much better on tarmac.

Kreez: I'm getting a ACT flywheel and I got a slighty used Centreforce DF clutch from a local. A 2100 with a street disc or even a 6 puck would be ideal for what you want. As far as flywheel, Fidanza's are good if you don't do many launches cause I hear they can't stand up to the heat.

Knows thats why I'm getting an ACT; because it's chromoly, not aluminum.

Should know the Fidanza looked attractive because it was lighter and had the removable surface so you never need to resurface it. Plus it's cheaper (guess now I know why). Jack's Trans, down south of me, recommends the ACT as well :hmm:

Thanks for the info guys.

Has a good point, but there are a lot of DSMs with ACT clutches still out there, and my understanding is that the new ACT clutches are less problem prone.

Should know school is starting tomorrow for me.
Will be hearing stories about cuties asking me for rides. Senior year should be sick.

should look at this picture:

since you guys were confused of what I meant by hauling grain, I took a picture of me unloading the truck.

Then my gf got pissed off and left the room, so I ate a cookie.
