i've researched but couldnt find my answer, but basically i have a 98 gst with 15psi on a big 16g, clutch, greddy smic pipping and rs bov, 3'' dp with no cat and 2.5 catback exhaust, i was planning on getting a 255 lph pump and 550cc but i decided i didnt want to pure anymore money into my car ### i'm gonna plan on selling it or trading it in on something. my Q is that i have an saft 1 that i havent hooked up yet but i want to know if getting it tuned is a good idea with the mods that i have, if i will gain power, even out a/f ratios ect.?

first of all, if you get a 255lph pump, youre gonna need an AFPR. Just get a 190 pump and if you want just rewire it, but its not needed.

I just installed an SAFC in my car w/ a T28 and stock fuel system. Im not touching a thing till I get a logger and a wideband. Youre pretty much gonna only be albe to take out fuel/ leaning the car out a little, since you woulnt be able to add much fuel with the stock fuel system. but you then chance running too lean and blowing your engine...hense why the wideband and logger are in my future.

You can gain a little power by leaning out a few percent, BUT make sure you have a logger or something else to keep tabs on if you are creating knock or not. Otherwise, do the rewire mod for the fuel pump to get a little more current going to it, and leave the boost and everything alone, maybe even turn down boost if you don't know if you are knocking or not.

yeah i'm not planning to do anymore mods with this car ### i'm really short on money and i owe a lot to my dad, so i'm not going to upgrade fuel pumps or injectors or anything so i guess i'm gonna just sell the afc ### i wont be needing it with whatever car i get next. and the whole knocking thing scares me a little so i think i'll turn the boost down. so i guess if anyone wants my afc its up for grabs

youll gain alot buy tunning, but yes if you dont get a logger you can kill your engine. the car runs rich from factory, with the new turbo and fuel system the cars running alot richer, you could gain 30 horse on a good tune

I just installed my SAFC II today. Should I just leave the NE Points at omit until I can get the cable for my Pocket logger? Just put the sensor type on Karmen and not touch any fuel or anything? What should I set my High and Low fuel to? right now I have it at 20 low and 60 high. I used the tuning guide from RRE Site. I don't want to do any harm to my engine. As of right now I have all parts listed in my vehicle profile.

I dont' see larger injectors in your profile, so for now, leave both the Hi and Lo throttle settings at zero. As for the TPS trigger points, it doesn't matter because both tables will be set at zero. When you do get started with your tune, you will want to change them to 30% and 80%.
