safc with maft 1.3

has any one ran safc with a maft and is there any advantage to running these together any info would help thanks

The maf-t is good for getting rid of the stock maf and having injector compensation. You can tune with it but its a pain in the ass. I run the maf-t with an safc. I use the maf-t to compensate for my 1200cc injectors and the safc for the fine tuning. Its a very good combo expecially on e85.

If you havent purchased both, i would definitely give Gen2 a look

up to 60% in 1/2% increments i believe. Plus you can use either GM maf, 2g, or 1g. It also has target a/f ratio where it will set a tune based on your setting used in conjunction with a wideband. I believe it has some datalogging features via laptop and timing control via a download.
Yes they do cost the same but doesnt mean they have the same capabilities. Im not saying this is the best tuning device and i dont use it but it seems to have some nice features for $275

also with the genII you dont necessaraly need the blowthru piping as you can use the 1g/2g mas. the maft, gm maf plus piping and air filter new is like 800-1000. plus the safc where you can keep stock (would not tho) for a mere 275 with genII. look around on deals tho if you go gm maf. i got a dejon blowthru with maft, gm maf, k&n filter and intake pipe for 238 shipped on ebay. the safc i got for $150 here and its the black special edition. so deals can pop up.

seems to give you more of a basic tune. im more of a noob when it comes to safc. looks look the gen2 automatically adjusts the fuel once you program it to your set up.

Yes it automatically adjusts BUT you still have to tune it and the Wide-band tracking would/will only work right IF you have NO Exhaust leaks I never used it myself when I had the Gen II...But
Ideally you would Or could set it up... go out and drive logging and look back at your logs and make the adjustment needed in what ever Load/rpm area... then just leave the tracking on as a Fail safe or to tune out weather changes with a GM Maf...
And as far as I know the timing control feature with out a Keydiver chip is only for the Maf pro ...
