Safc Wiring?

Do all the wires have to be connected so the SAFC screen can actually turn on . first I had the safc not turn on, so i "returned it" now i got a vafc and it still doesnt want to turn on. I have everything wired up except for the in and out put air flow wires. I always thought that every single component like a radio,amp,SAFC needed a ignition wire but the safc or vafc dont have it? just power and ground... i am stomped the directions dont help me at all either....

No, you only need a power and a ground for the unit to actually turn on. Are you sure that you have a good 12v signal and a good ground?

the ecu must be plugged in also , if thats where you tapped your wires....

i tried turning it on to see if my wires were soldered right , and it didnt turn on , connected the ecu and it worked fine..........

but isnt a vafc for hondas only ??? Vtec Air Flow Converter ???

and your motor mos def doesnt have that mad VtAk PoWa !!

synonix hopefully that was not soppused to be a sarcastic comment towards me right. First off I am no rookie in the dsm world. I have been doing the dsm thing for 4 years now. Back in the days dsm guys used to buy VAFC instead of SAFC because they were cheaper. There is no write up I could find on how they did it, so I came on here to see if I can get some help from you guys. vr6 chris thanks for the heads up on the power and ground thing.. hopefully my ECU has a good 12v source and ground.

If you're paranoid, you should really solder the connections too if you haven't.
But yea, it only needs power/ground/ecu plugged in/key turned,- in order for it to turn on.
