SAFC installed...not holding memory

I just installed my S-AFC and used the instructions I found on the forums to figure out the wiring and all. I tuned it, then turned my car off and all the stuff was gone and reset. Any help? I used the red wire for power the orange and pink for air flow and the grey was ground if I remember correctly. I heard from someone that there are twp power wires and that the yellow one is the memory. If that's correct then I know what needs to be done. There isn't any button combo or anything you have to hold to set it right? I didn't think so, but I hope the guy I bought this from on the forum didn't sell me a bad product!.

I have not installed mine in quite some time now but there has to be some constant power I believe. If you find out its bad then hit me up, I will be selling a good one soon.

will do. Do you know anything about a memory wire? Possibly the yellow or white? I heard the white wire is for something to do with a 300zx and their engine, so it's not used for the dsm, but yeah do you know anything about a memory wire?

Pull it apart, make sure the internal harness is fully plugged in, and if it is, replace the little battery in it.

what version afc do you have? if its the safc2 then you prob have a bad one because it has an internal flash memory, and doesnt rely on constant battery voltage to hold its memory

I have the S-AFC I with the digital blue screen. I'll pull it apart this weekend and see. So, since no one has mentioned it, I take it as there is no memory wire to hook to the ecu????

Got it figured out. It was a wiring issue. So it is holding memory now!
