Sad Apexi 1g AWD DP

Picked up a cheap exhaust system at the apexi garage sale this weekend. I'm actually surprised at how cheesy the system is, the material is just plain steel, and there are neck-down sections that get down to 2.25" I.D (2.38 OD) . I'd be pissed if I paid the full retail on this but oh well.

The DP is really what's sad, the first section with the 90 bend is only 2.25" I.D (2.38 O.D), then it goes up to 2.5" I.D" BUT then back down to 2.25" I.D for the flex section. I'm probably going to replace the first section with 2.5" but the flex is stuck at that diameter I guess. For $50 brand new I can't complain, but just warning you guys you're better off with the ebay specials....

Ya I wasn't trying to say this was a bad apple, i'm sure they're all manufactured like this. I'm just posting because I haven't seen any pics on any boards of them nor do you see too many threads about them. So if you're curious... don't spend the 200+ or whatever they go for normally....

Haha, I would be really pissed if I were you though, that dp is like an oxymoron in itself. Thats why a lot of DSMers go for the megan racing downpipes, they are soooo cheap and fit great, and all full throughout.

That looks nothing like my apexi down pipe. But mine is the 3" one. Wish I had pics of it but its been on the car for awhile now, and well its cold and I dont feel like going out in the snow and getting soaked! Wish I would of shopped around though instead of spending huge gob of money on my exhaust system but oh well it was my first mod!

What you likely have is their "GT" version which yes is alot nicer, believe it's 2.8 O.D or something (2.5" ID). What i'm showing is their 'N1' version, which is the only version they make for 1g's....
