after measuring my Apexi Gt DP, the inlet diameter is approx. 2.25" and outlet is approx. 2.7". its certainly not a 3" DP. with a 2.5" tubular o2 housing on the way i definitely dont want to go 2.5 to 2.25.
has any one cut off the 2.25" piping and welded a 2.5" one on?
if so where do u cut it, before or after the flex section

(if its cut after the flex section then i'll also need a 2.5" flex section along with the piping)

Thanx for the feed back

We just ordered the N-1 and it supposedly starts at 2.5" until the first bend, then it starts to taper out toward the muffler, ending in 3.3". I know that APEX'i N-1 mufflers are 3", so I dunno. I was under the impression that the GT series was pretty much the N-1 with stainless piping.

the Gt is the ss version of the n1 and they say its 2.5" for the first ft or so but my measurements show about 2.3"..im only going by what i see.

I just went through the same crap of having to get the necked down part hacked off, I took it to a muffler shop and they fixed it up for $40 bucks.

great so i'm not alone. others have hacked this typa of DP but where?
did they cut the DP before or after the flex section??

thanx
