S-AFC or S-AFC II???

I have the SAFC II on my 96 GS-T and highly recommend it. It has a couple features that the original doesn't, such as more points for airflow correction in 200 RPM incriments. :thumb:

The only real diffrent that will matter to a DSM is that the AFC has 8 RPM setting points and the AFC2 has 12 meaning you can fine tune a bit more.

The "knock" feature of the AFC2 doesnt work on 2G DSM's and I've never gotten it to work on 1G DSM's.

Ya I've owned both the AFC and I currently own the AFC2.. I honestly liked the AFC better then the AFC2. I dont like the joystick type control of the AFC2 that much. Its hard to work with at 60~100+ mph LOL..

Altho I stick with the AFC2 because I've already got it mounted in my upper vent and I dont want to change now.

I never did get this worthless ass knock feature to work which was why I picked up the AFC2.

I know for sure it doesnt work on the 2G and I've never seen anyone who really got it working on the 1G eather.

My friend broke his lil joystick thingy off his. Had to hardcore rig it to make it work again.

since the SAFC II has come out, is there a place that still sells the original SAFC? i dont think i need the newest one, but i cant seem to find them anywhere. if this board doesnt allow this to be said (talking about venders) then feel free to pm me.

afc2 controls blow..i have no idea what apexi was thinking when they designed it wth the knob and tiny buttons...if i wasnt lazy ide take my afc2 out and try and trade it for an afc1

ide seriously just get the afc1...the extra features on hte afc2 are nice, but you really arent going to use them all that much..like kristmen said the knock feature it pretty much worthless...the extra adjustment points are nice but you can definitely get away with the few less that the afc1 has...having the ability to save two separte maps is nice to if you switch often from race and pump gas..but again then you would have to get your car tuned twice and you can get away with one map fine.

and you also can save money with the afc1..just find it used for like 200ish or less

The 2 is pretty tricky. Getting to learn your way using that knob was confusing as hell.
