S AFC Install?????

What are the exact instructions for wiring a S AFC to a 2G Turbo WITHOUT DOING THE BLUE WIRE MOD?

Those are the 2 I used on my 91 tsi and they made everything a breeze. The second one has pictures(easier)

Sure will. Ill be fine, Ive did a ton of aftermarket radios and amps, as well as remote starters and alarms. I always like to know exactly what Im looking at befor I start.

sorry to bring up an old post, but does that vfaq safc install work? i noticed on vfaq the gvr4 write up doesnt match what the ecu pinout on a 1g write-up on vfaq. does this make sense to anyone?

I dont want to follow the gvr4 write-up and f-it up, or follow the ecu-pinout writeup and f-it up. they both conflict information.

You will have to get a harness for your car or have someone wire it up to your ECU. How did your plan work it, is it fixed?

If you look closely I think you'll find that there is one difference between the two, where the RPM wire connects. Apexi's manual is wrong, you don't want to source the RPM signal from on of the power transistor outputs. It only sees half the ignition pulses. Either use the CAS signal like the GVR4 VFAQ or the tach pulse on pin 109.

Also keep in mind that the Apexi doc shows the connectors on the ECU the same way as the VFAQ ECU pinouts where the GVR4 FAQ is looking at the front of the harness connectors. The pins wil be flopped end to end from the change in perspective.
