I was planning on getting an aluminized exhaust and then just putting on some rust resistant paint. But here's the question, if i put this on the exhaust, will it need to be high temp paint, like engine paint? I honestly don't see the need to spend extra money on a full stainless system if this works just as well, but if there is a reason not to, please let me know. Also, as far as engine paint goes, does anyone know if this paint here is good for the high temps, im just not sure how hot the engine would get. Thanks for any replies.

As hot as you make it get.

I suggest the coating you can get from a shop or like stated above, ceramic. Have you ever touched your exhaust anywere when it was hot or just turned off? It gets HOT.
