Wow, $330 seems like a lot for that. You could probably buy a new complete strut tower for that.
Anyways, sell the car asap! You are wasting your money. That rocker and suspension pickups are in horrible shape. And to me, are a bigger issue than that strut tower rust. Don't even take off your sideskirts or you will cry.
Just to let you know what you'll be chasing in no time...

To me the rust holding the rear suspension looks beyond repair. And it looks dangerous. Deadly.

Well, I was gonna get a quote from them again to see how much it would for them to repair. They've shown me pictures of their work with much worse rust under the car than mine. But mine does look really bad. =(
But it doesn't matter if there's some rust on the floorboard or summin' - they can patch that up - it's the parts holding the wheel on are rusted through!
I would talk to someone qualified who isn't a "rust technician" who gets paid from fixing this stuff!
You do not want your wheel to come loose while you are driving, and having it pointing in a completely different direction! You won't be able to just pull over to the side of the road. You'll be lucky if you don't hit a tree or pole.
I mean, I don't mean to alarm you. I can't really get a good analysis from that photo even if I was qualified to determine the depth of the rust. In my opinion, you should take it to a shop or garage or something... slowly.
I'll take better pics of the rust tomorrow if its nice out. But are you looking at the first set of pics or the one above this post which looks like a disaster waiting to happen?
The rod going to your wheels. The place where it connects to the frame is rusted badly. I don't know enough to tell you if it's safe or not, but to me it looks unsafe.

I would take it to a shop and ask them if they can please just take a look at it. Tell them you think the rust repairman is 'taking you for a ride' and you don't feel safe. Show him the rear there. Probably no charge if it's a slow day.
Wow, and I thought the couple of bolts on my exhaust were bad, so happy that mine still has factory paint on her under belly. So happy they don't salt our roads!

The whole rear sub-frame can be unbolted and replaced, stop scaring this guy, the car is definitely fixable. Everything you guys are "worried" about is a bolt on affair.
Nasty Dream said:Don't listen to anything I've said, except one thing - take it to a shop and see what they think. Good luck.

That is not bolt-on. That is the body of the car. Absolutely not the subframe.
Look at the seam where the car gets jacked up from, pretty soon the jack will go through, hopefully the OP is not underneath when this happens. Please have something under the wheels and not just the body when working on this car.
Can't anyone leave a comment directed to the postees name?
