I just got my car dyno'd today and its running rich. I have no idea what is causing this problem. The shop i went to has no tuning equipment. Any Ideas on what is causing my problem? Mod's are in profile

I looked at your mod list and didn't see larger injectors or fuel control. If you're running stock fuel on the stock ECU, the factory A/F is 9.5:1. If it was any more rich, you could drown in it.

so out of curiousity by leaning it out and tuning it for more power ( since your leaning it out ) doest that also mean better gas milage? ( at least makes sense to me )

Sure does. But when you make more power, there's a natural tendency to stomp on it more.

Or for the fact that you can't turn yours down anymore Andy, at least without tearing apart the wg LOL.

I finally get the feeling of running external come tomorrow morning.

*Slipgear, you should try getting an afc and leaning it out a little or go with a eprom ecu and a keydiver chip, I did and I love it. Andy can help you set one up :thumb:

Keep in mind that Jeff's chips are set for factory A/F and you have to specify if you want something different to increase the performance without relying on an AFC. If you decide to go that route, drop me a line.

Andy

i am going that route, but how long will down time be because my car is every day driver and i have to send you the ecu you to do this right?
(Maybe if i can find another turbo ecu you the junkyard for this kind of stuff )

If your ECU is already socketed, then all you need is the chip. If you have the ECU and it needs to be socketed, turnaround time is around a week.

By the way, I don't burn chips, socket ECU's or do any of that stuff. I just have an intimate knowledge of custom chip tunes since I've tried so many on my car. The guy to talk to is either steve (one of our wisemen) or Jeff Oberholtzer at DSM Chips.
