Well I got MAF hacked and I read that makes the car run lean at idel, I have a S-afc installed and have the LOW THR. Points as fallows 35% 25% 15% 4% the rest of the way. I am getting grey smoke when car is cold and driving right after start up this is lean is it not? How should I fix this

Any ideas would be great thanks.

It sounds rich to me but, you won't know untill you get a logger. Also you need to richen up high throttle when you add more incoming air. :thumbdown I would say +20% across low and high until you get a logger. But you will be rich until you get a logger. :(

I see, I just thought Lean because in Vehicle Service(class in school) I was looking up what certian colors were coming out of a exuast, and I thought I seen..

Gray - lean
Black - rich(fuel getting in to the cylinder)
Blue - oil getting in to the cyilnder chamber
white - water or anit-freeze getting in to the cyilnder chamber

and 20% all the way across is that a little high? wear should I pick a logger up that will work good and what do I all need for it?and I dont have to big of a mod list do I need a logger? why not a air fuel guage? :|

How are you tunning right now? by guessing and the sound of your motor?. You need some Sort of logging device to know your timming advance, 02 voltage, knock sum. Those are the most important things to look at on a logger when tuning fuel, That and an EGT gauge is very helpful.
An A/f gauge on the stock 02 sensor will get you in the ball park but u will never get it tuned perfect because the way the computer reads it and the way the gauge is tring to read it are diff.
A wide band 02 would work but personally i need to see timing and knock sum to feal comfotable messin with fuel

Also by looking at your mod list i would have never purchased the SAFC yet
your running stock turbo, injectors and IC? you kinda skipped a couple steps

I see thanks, yes im tuning it by using the butt dyno LOL, and im going to pick a a/f guage up, I just got my EGT guage in, if thats the one you Tap the manifold with
