hi I just rebuilt the 7 bolt engine in my 1g. the knock code came up and for break in reason im using the stock mafs. i pulled the plugs and they show that they are to hot. all mod on my mod list are up to date. any idea's guys

WHAT TO CHECK

recheck base timing
recheck idle timing
check fuel pressure
check spark plug gap
leakdown test

if you have diffent injectors after that you could swap them if its still having issues

well i already checked the timing , spark gap , and the scanner said the idle timming is on. as for the fuel pressure i havent checked and was woundring if their was a way to make a cheap guage from summit racing seeing it only 2 miles from my house. and if their was a boost leak wouldn't that mean i would be running rich....thank you!

there isnt a way to rig up a fuel pressure gauge but most auto parts stores have cheap ones for like 20 bucks.

i always put boost leak and compression/leakdown test because most people dont bother actually doing anything till the internet tells them to. LOL

do you have larger injectors?
larger fuel pump
fuel pump rewired

ok that helps with the fuel pressure. and i guess ill make a leak down tester. as for injectors i have stock ones and the pump right now is stock but i have a 255 pump that im just waiting to put in due to the bolts on the tank. i spary them every day until i fell their ready.

i would get a fuel pressure regulator to be able to actually set your fuel pressure. and even though you have the maft i would also look into a tuning solution since that just makes a global adjustment.
