engine running lean code

so i own a 1998 eclipse gs, i did a motor swap because the last one was busted a rod. i pulled the motor from a 95 and had to change some electrical componets so the original wiring harness would still work. i also changed the fuel rail so i wasn't running two fuel pressure regulators and a return line that went no where. i fired the car up and had no problems for about half an hour just idling, then it pops up the po171 engine running lean code, and it sputters and wants to die when ever i come to a stop light, i have ampul fuel pressure and i have changed the pcv valve, egr valve, and egr silinoid, i have swapped everything from a parts car to try and save cash, but the likely hood that both parts are bad are slim to none, i cant hear any vaccum lines leaking and my cruise is working fine, please help im sick of seeing it in the driveway,

A lean code and wanting to die at idle are pretty common sign of a vacuume leak.

A good way to find a vacuum leak is to start the car, light your favorite form of tobacco (cigar/cigarette), and blow the smoke around potentially leaky vacuum lines; The engine will suck in smoke at the leak.
